Drawlings!

I've picked up my gray tone paper and have gone to town. Here's some new stuff I've been working on.

These are sketches of a character for a friend's pitch.

she's alive!!!!

I am currently engaged in penciling, inking and coloring a teen graphic novel entitled Will-O-the-Wisp. It is going to be published with an outstanding sequential art publishing company that I cannot as yet name because our lawyers are still talking/working stuff out.
However, I thought I'd post a few pencils to get people jazzed.
I won't go any further into the details of the book until our contract is set.

I also wanted to include a sketch that my friend Alex Eckman-Lawn did of me. It's very elegant - so it doesn't resemble my personality, but it's beautiful just the same.

I own every Hipsta pack on Hipstamatic. I'm not proud of this, it's an illness. However, I use my foible to create random pictures of EVERYTHING I encounter.

A few days ago I drove up to Oregon via Carmel and Monterey. We visited the aquarium, took some scenic drives through Pebble Beach, cooed over sea otters breaking shells on their bellies. Lets take a look....

come take an epic trip with me

I just got back from New York. I went for work and stayed for pleasure. A movie that I production designed was at Tribecca. It's called the Perfect Family and people really liked it. It helps that the cast and crew is so amazing.
I decided to stay for a while and check out some museums, walk around central park, eat a bagel or two.
One night, being all alone in the city, I sat in a bar with a glass of wine and worked on some sketches in the dark:
From being on the panel that night, I just remember Kathleen Turner taking the mic and lambasting some guy. She has the longest legs and was wearing a pantsuit that made them particularly lengthy.

I had to keep myself occupied during takeoff and landing on my way home since all my books can be turned on or off. So I drew some stuff from the tarmac and when we were lifting off.

skinny Wisp character...                          my dream house

its a boat made out of a city and it floats around above the world. I'd live on the mast.

I had some time to wonder around central park and visit the Guggenheim and the Met. Pictures below.

Lucas Dunn, the most serious child in the world

Yes, cupid is peeing on Venus.

Now I'm home. But my trip wasn't over. I had to go to Disneyland to finish off my whole trip.
They have a new Tron nighttime dance party. Its basically gogo dancers in Tron outfits dancing to techno. It's also a place for 15-year-old gay boys to make out with their boyfriends. In other words, it's my new favorite place.

More adventures to come.....!
